Physical Standards: The candidates should have good physique specified below since the course involves strenuous drill and practical.

Duration : One year (Two semester)
Fees : Rs.16500/- per semester
Subjects : Safety Management , Safety Engineering, Safety & Law, Fire Engineering-I, Safety in Chemical Industry, Appraisal Analysis, Industrial hygiene and occupational health, Safety in Construction Industry and Fire Engineering-II.
Practical training in Fire and Safety systems for more than 200 hours.
Personality development and soft skill training.
Practical training like Squad drills, Hose drills, Hydrant drill, Pump drills, Water and Foam Tender drills, Ladder drills, Rescue drills, Breathing Apparatus drills, Foam drills, tactical exercise, resuscitations, words of command etc.
Special certificate programme in First Aid, in association with Indian Red Cross Society, as a part of the Diploma course
Training Methodology:
Regular theory classes for five hours a day.
Compulsory library time for one-hour everyday.
Practical training on two days a week on fire fighting installations of the company.
Periodical tests and progress monitoring systems.
Visit to other industries for enhanced knowledge of fire and safety installations
Post Qualification Training : Six months free post qualification training will be given in the Fire & Safety departments in the Production Divisions of FACT. Post Qualification training with stipend is assured for eight best performing students in a Public Sector company at Udyogamandal
