NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET) EXAMINATION-2012
Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold on 20/01/2013, a NET Examination – 2012.
NET is a qualifying examination for determining eligibility for Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs). Candidates clearing the National Eligibility Test will be eligible for Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/AUs. NET Certificates will be issued to the candidates by the A.S.R.B. to the qualified candidates to enable them to apply against vacancies to be notified or advertised by the State Agricultural Universities. SAUs/AUs will consider their eligibility through interview or any such other tests as devised for recruitment of Lecturers or Assistant Professors.
NET : Qualification : A candidate must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline with specialization completed on or before 1st August, 2012., Age : 21 years as on 0/08/2012. There is no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.
Fee : The candidates seeking admission to examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs.500/- for OBC and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through a Crossed Bank Draft only, drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft.
Last Date : The complete application form must reach the Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 post or delivered in person on or before 20/11/2012. Last date is 04/12/2012 for candidates from far-flung areas.
